It’s June and most of the Farmer’s Markets have closed for the season…but we all still have to eat! And we still want good quality, fresh food…SO…we’ve decided to open a summer Farmer’s Market out here in the country!!!
Announcing the opening of the “Old Miakka Farmer’s Market” this Saturday, June 11th. The location is a beautiful, peaceful setting at the Crowley Museum and Nature Center on Myakka Road.
The market hours will be 9am-2pm and will be open rain or shine.
Directions:
If you’re coming from Sarasota or the Interstate (exit 210 Fruitville Rd.) come out east all the way to the end of Fruitville Rd., turn right on to Myakka Rd. and follow the Farmer’s Market signs to the Nature Center.

If you’ve never visited Crowley Museum and Nature Center you need to. It’s a trip back in time to the days of the early Florida settlers. There are several antique buildings, a country museum, and nature walk and much more along with many educational activities during the year.
